For Immediate Release March 12, 2008 Festivals To Help Attract More Visitors NEWS Kingston is receiving more than $672,525 from the McGuinty government to help enhance programming, attract more visitors and boost the local economy, announced MPP John Gerretsen on behalf of Peter Fonseca Minister of Tourism. Fort Fright – Fort Henry is one of 90 festivals and events across the province that will receive funding through Celebrate Ontario 2008, launched in 2006 to support the growth of festivals and events. This year, the McGuinty government has more than doubled its investment in Celebrate Ontario to $10 million. The funding breakdown is as follows:
